Fourth place among technical universities, seventh place in the general ranking, and – as usual – first place in Lower Silesia. These are the results of Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the ranking of universities conducted by the Perspektywy Foundation in 2025.

PhD students and scientific workers of Wrocław University of Science and Technology from Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology are pleased to invite you for XIX Conference of PhD Students and Young Scientists, which will take place from 29 to 31 May 2019 in Sosnówka near Karpacz, Poland
The Conference is a great opportunity to exchange experience and forming both science and social contacts. Scientific programme of the XIX Conference of PhD Students and Young Scientists will focus on three thematic panels:
- Mining Engineering: problems of securing, protecting and using remnants of old mining works, underground mining, opencast minnig, processing of minerals and waste, mining machinery, mine transport, economics in mining, mining aeronautics, ventilation and air conditioning in mines,
- Earth and Space Science: geology, hydrogeology, environmental protection, extraterrestrial resources, groundwater and medicinal waters, engineering and environmental protection, geotourism,
- Geoinformation: mining geodesy, GIS, photogrammetry and remote sensing, geodata modeling and analysis.
Each panel would be preceded by special lecture. Authors of all qualified applications would get a chance for oral and/or poster presentation. Participants with posters will present their work during poster session. Official language for each session is English and Polish. Within the framework of the Conference will be held a scientific tour.
Participants of the Conference have the opportunity to publish articles as the AIP Conference Proceedings indexed in the following databases:
- Web of Science,
- Scopus,
- Inspec,
- Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS),
- Astrophysics Data System (ADS).
Articles should be prepared in accordance with the guidelines and send to kdimu@pwr.edu.pl. The additional cost associated with the publication of one article is 500 PLN payable after accepting the manuscript for publication (the author/team may submit up to 2 articles, no possibility of publication without participation in the Conference).
