In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27th April 2016, we have adopted a policy of reducing the risk of disclosing the personal data that we process to unauthorized persons and entities.
Regulations that apply to us do not allow us to disclose any data concerning our graduates to third parties. Their qualifications are confirmed by diplomas issued in accordance with the law. We do not verify information on our former students. Wrocław University of Science and Technology (hereinafter: the University) does not disclose any such information to any person or entity other than the student or graduate him/herself. Also, the University does not provide opinions or references about its students or graduates.
The University does provide its students with certificates presenting their academic record and graduation status. In such case, we reserve the right to verify the identity of the person applying for such a certificate. The request may be submitted in electronic form, as specified in the Code of Administrative Procedure, i.e. as a document affixed with digital signature or using an ePUAP trusted profile. Students can apply for such certificates at the dean’s offices of the faculties (and, for example, specify the e-mail address to which the certificate should be sent).
On individual request, the University also provides its graduates with certificates of completion of studies. Applications for obtaining such certificate can be submitted to the University in person, by mail, or by Internet. In the latter case, the graduate needs to create a trusted profile on the website. Then, he/she should click the button „edukacja”, and later the link „Uzyskaj zaświadczenie o przebiegu lub ukończeniu studiów”. There, he/she will find all the information on the procedure of applying for such certificate. The graduate should follow the steps described there.
We also inform that documents that are to be used abroad can be authenticated upon the request of the interested person at the Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej (NAWA, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange), pursuant to the Act of 7th July 2017 on Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej.
Since 1 February 2018, NAWA director may authenticate the following documents:
The Agency only verifies documents confirming the completion of studies. NAWA does not have access to the student’s record. More details are available on the NAWA website.
The rules of authentication of other Polish official documents (e.g. for international use, including countries that are not parties to the Hague Convention of 1961), are specified by the Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) on its website.
