  • il_mechanika.pngFourth place among technical universities, sixth place in the general ranking, and – as usual – first place in Lower Silesia. These are the results of Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the ranking of universities conducted by the Perspektywy Foundation in 2026.
  • In the same ranking, the Civil Engineering degree programme (Faculty of Civil Engineering), Chemical Engineering and Technology, Chemical and Process Engineering (Faculty of Chemistry) were recognised as Poland’s best.
  • We are one of the biggest employer in Wrocław.
  • A large number of our graduates find employment already while pursuing their degree programmes, and 70% of them find jobs after three months, at the latest, after receiving their diplomas.
  • Graduates of Wrocław University of Science and Technology are ranked third in Poland in terms of median earnings.
  • Since May 2019, the university’s Doctoral School has been in operation, educating doctoral students in twelve research disciplines.
  • Two researchers from the university belong to the elite group of the winners of the so-called "Polish Nobel Prize", the Foundation for Polish Science Award: Professor Marek Samoć and Professor Marcin Drąg.

  • Every year, we sign further cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign companies, as well as scientific and local government units. The university’s closest business partners include Volvo, Nokia, Microsoft, IBM, KGHM, LG, and Credit Suisse.
  • We have cooperation agreements with European universities, on both American continents, in Asia, Africa, and even Australia.
  • Academic staff from Wrocław University of Science and Technology work closely with researchers from all over the world. The result of these activities is 500 jointly developed papers published every year.
  • Every year, a few hundred students and employees of the university take advantage of international exchange programmes.
  • Wrocław University of Science and Technology is a member of the European University Association, the European Society for Engineering Education, Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research (Cesaer) and Unite! alliance.
  • One of the biggest attractions, not only of the university itself but also of Wrocław as a whole, is the "Polinka" cable car, which connects the Geocentrum complex with the Main Campus. It is Poland’s only cross-river urban cable car operating on a shuttle basis.
