How does the recruitment process follow the concept of Open, Transparent, and Merit-Based Recruitment of Researchers (OTM-R)?

We are aware of the importance of creating good and stable working conditions for scientists at every stage of their career path.

The development of science in its broadest sense is impossible without the free flow of knowledge and, consequently, the mobility of researchers.

Since 2018, we have been implementing the principles and guidelines: what a good OTM-R system should look like, so that OTM-R benefits researchers and the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, contributing to the full implementation of the European Research Area (ERA).

The procedure of open competitions for the position of an academic teacher follows the university-wide scheme:

The procedure is governed by the Internal Order ZW3/2023 of the Rector of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology of January 11, 2023 (as amended, ZW18/2023):

Adaptation stage:

In order to assess the level of openness, transparency and relevance of the open competitions held at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, since 2018 we have been updating the OTM-R Policy and using the OTM-R Checklist as a self-assessment tool to determine to what extent open competition practices are in line with OTM-R and where improvements can be made.
