The Young Academy of Europe, founded in 2012, is an international organization that promotes collaboration in science, technology, and culture. It comprises 211 researchers within twelve years of earning their PhD who have demonstrated remarkable scientific achievements. Among them are nine scholars from Poland. YAE members represent a wide range of disciplines – from natural and physical sciences to humanities and social sciences.

Prof. Dzimitrowicz has been a YAE member since 2023. During the Young Academy of Europe AGM 2025 meeting held in Barcelona (in a hybrid format), she was elected to the Board for the 2025/2026 term – as the only representative from Poland.

“This is a special distinction, as in my role as a Board Member I will take part in selecting new members of the organization, including the most outstanding candidates from across Europe,” says Prof. Dzimitrowicz.

Her research focuses on cold atmospheric plasma and its applications in environmental engineering, food chemistry, biomedicine, analytical chemistry, and materials engineering.

She works at the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Metallurgy of the Faculty of Chemistry at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
