prof. Anthony Guiseppi-Elie - Engineering the Future of Medicine

The first lecture, dedicated to the application of the achievements of the contemporary bioengineering, was delivered by Professor Anthony Guiseppi-Elie from the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of TAMU, who conducts research in a field where various disciplines of science meet.

His work involves, among other things, designing and applying bioanalytical microsystems in medicine, as well as the commercial development of research into polymers combined with bioanalysis, bioinformatics, and bioelectronics.

Professor Guiseppi-Elie has authored numerous scientific publications (quoted over 5 thousand times, H index of 39). He is an active member of many scientific organisations, including American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FIEEE).  Additionally, he founded the company ABTECH Scientific, whose operation involves specialised biomedical diagnostics.

The meeting with Professor Anthony Guiseppi-Elie was held on November 24, at 01.30 pm, at the Wałbrzych Room, building A-3,  Smoluchowskiego St. 23 (Faculty of Chemistry of WUST).
