Grace Awhobiwom Abu-Undiyaundeye, who graduated from WUST's Faculty of Electronics, has been granted the title of a NAWA Digital Ambassador. She will promote Poland by presenting her own experiences involving Polish people, culture, and language.
For the second time, the National Agency for Academic Exchange (Polish acronym: NAWA) has announced a competition for the title of Poland’s Digital Ambassador. In this year's edition, the organisers received over 100 applications from foreign students and graduates who visit or have visited Poland. The competition committee selected 32 people from 29 countries, who will represent Polish culture and student life based on their personal perspectives. Their activities are intended to help convince more students that our country is a great place to study.
One of the winners of the competition was Grace Awhobiwom Abu-Undiyaundeye, a Nigerian graduate of the Faculty of Electronics.
– Grace Awhobiwom showed great commitment and diligence from the beginning of her studies – says Anna Rogalska, head of WUST’s Department of International Cooperation, who entered the graduate in the competition. – Her exemplary approach to learning resulted in a very high grade on her diploma and the fact that while she was still doing her degree programme, she found employment in a renowned foreign corporation based in Wrocław.
Grace Awhobiwom is hugely passionate about social media. She is active on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, but she also runs a blog. – What’s more, for six months, she has been running her channel on YouTube, where she posts videos about life in Poland and the opportunities to study at our universities – says Anna Rogalska.
The blog also contains information about studying at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and its student life.
Our graduate’s main task will now be to convince people from Nigeria and other countries who are considering Poland as a place to continue their education that it is a good choice. Also, she is currently active in promoting Wrocław University of Science and Technology, for example, by participating in admission and promotional campaigns on Instagram.
