Two disciplines of science that are part of Wrocław Tech’s scope of activity are included in the latest ranking. The one that did best, as it was a year ago, is mathematics, which ranked between the world’s top 201 and 300 for the Natural Science category. As far as the Engineering category is concerned, our other polytechnic discipline that gained recognition is mechanical engineering, also retaining its last year’s position in the 301-400 range.

The GRAS ranking results have been published since 2009 by the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. The universities included in the ranking are evaluated in 54 fields covering natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences. More than 4,000 universities from all over the world were evaluated this year, including 44 Polish ones.

The GRAS rankings use a range of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure the performance of global universities in relevant areas, including research output, research impact, international collaboration, research quality, and international academic awards.
