In July and August, Wrocław University of Science and Technology played host to three international summer schools for students hailing from different parts of the world
Already the sixth edition of the 3E+ school was held from July 2 to 27 and organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and - for the first time in the history of the initiative - the Faculties of Chemistry, Electronics of Microsystems and Photonics, and Mathematics. Students from all over the world worked in small groups on projects and discovered the Polish culture and the region’s beauty.
Another educational initiative, the summer school for students from our partner universities in India, was organised for the fifth time already. The TECHSummer programme attracted students from Parul University, SAL Education Campus and RK University, who attended courses at the Faculties of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
In addition, students from the Chinese Guilin University of Technology visited us yet another time to take part in classes organised by the Department of Foreign Languages of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, as well as pursue a scientific research methodology programme.
The unit responsible for the organisation of these events, like every year, was the Department of International Affairs of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
However, the season of summer schools at the University has not finished yet. As soon as in September, we’re going to play host to another group of female students from RK University, India, who will participate in a specialised educational programme prepared by the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology and the Institute of Biomedical and Measurement Engineering with support from the Academy of Physical Education. The students will spend three weeks exploring the arcana of biomedical engineering, both in theory and practice.
