The results of the third edition of the university’s Secundus competition have been announced. We know the names of the 100 young researchers with the highest point totals for published papers. Secundus is one of the initiatives promoting scientific excellence at our university.
Under the programme, a hundred young scientists are selected, who in 2022 were under 40 years old and without a post-doctoral degree, boasting the highest number of points for the papers they have published.
Articles published in 2021 in scientific journals, peer-reviewed materials for international scientific conferences, as well as scientific monographs were considered.
A special distinction and a prize of 10,000 PLN were awarded to thirteen first-place researchers in a given scientific discipline, with the remaining winners being awarded 5,000 PLN each.
For the third time, the winner of the programme was Andrzej Żak, PhD, Eng (materials engineering, previously awarded twice in the discipline of mechanical engineering). For the second time, the first place in their disciplines was won by: Piotr Cyganowski, PhD, DSc (chemical engineering), Jan Zaręba, PhD, Eng (chemical sciences) and Yash Chawla, PhD (management and quality sciences).
Meet the thirteen representatives of the various scientific disciplines researched by our university awarded in the third edition of the Secundus programme.
