Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs, Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, received the title of Honorary Professor of Óbuda University in Budapest. The ceremony was combined with the inauguration of the new academic year.
Among the winners, in addition to prof. Arkadiusz Wójs, there were prof. Florin Dragan (Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania), Dr. József Pálfi (Partium Christian University, Romania) and Dr. Márton Tonk (Sapientia Transilvanian Hungarian University, Romania).
On Tuesday, the four awarded scientists also took part in the traditional mini symposium "Recent advances in intelligent engineering". During it, the rector of the Wrocław University of Technology gave a lecture "Correlated Electrons in Low Dimensions".
Óbuda University (Óbudai Egyetem) is one of the largest technical universities in Hungary. Currently, almost 13 thousand students study there. students. In 2011, the title of Honorary Professor was awarded to prof. Tadeusz Więckowski, rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology in 2008-2016, and in 2018 the title was awarded to prof.
