Prof. Steve Evans: Sustainability - what do we have to do next?
Is there still a chance for sustainable global industry? Prof. Steve Evans from the University of Cambridge, in cooperation with global companies, has been studying this question for many years. He will share his experiences at the Interdisciplinary Science Seminar at Wrocław Tech.
We invite you to attend the lecture "Sustainability: what do we have to do next?", which the scientist from Great Britain will give on November 26 at the Auditorium of Wrocław Tech (building A-1, 27 Wybrzeże Wyspiańskiego). Start at 10 a.m.

Professor Steve Evans is Director of Research in Industrial Sustainability at the University of Cambridge. After 12 years in industry, Steve moved to academia and pioneered many new topics in sustainable business models, eco-efficiency and other topics within industrial sustainability. His research asks ‘how to deliver a sustainable industrial system at the speed and scale that the planet needs?’ and is conducted with leading practitioners such as Toyota, Chanel, Airbus and hundreds of other companies.
He started his first research on Circular Economy in 1995. Steve has founded various cleantech start-ups and served as Special Advisor to the UK House of Lords. Professor Steve Evans as recently elected to serve on the Board of the Academia Europaea.
His presentation in Wrocław Tech will explore the toughest challenge in sustainability – how will we make industry sustainable? The world’s factories deliver the massive quantity of everyday goods that shape our lives, but they also deliver massive pollution, including global warming. The problem is massive and urgent, so how can industry respond? This presentation will discuss what can be done next week, next year and next decades.
