The Department of Artificial Intelligence of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology invites to the lecture 'Factuality Challenges in the Era of Large Language Models', which will be given by Professor Preslav Nakov of Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. The event will begin on Monday, 26 February, in room 205, build. C-5, at 13.15.
Prof Preslav Nakov is Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the university established to conduct research and teaching in artificial intelligence in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The university is currently among the world's top 20 in artificial intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, NLP and robotics.
Prof Nakov is Head of the Department of Natural Language Processing and also serves as President-Elect of the European Branch of the Association for Computational Linguistics, as well as Secretary of ACL SIGSLAV and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Truth and Trust Online. He specialises in assessing the trustworthiness of texts generated by large language models, detecting fake news and reducing the impact of propaganda and media bias.
