Introduction day for foreigners

Around 600 students from all over the world will start their courses at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in October. Half of them are participants of international student exchange programs. On Monday, September 30, the International Affairs Department will prepare the orientation days for them.

obcokrajowcy1.jpgThe official welcoming of foreign students will be attended by the authorities of WUST. During the event, our new students will be able to see an orientation film about the Polytechnic, watch special presentations prepared by the university units and their peers from scientific circles and student organisations, as well as familiarise themselves with WUST Library’s offering.

On the other hand, issues revolving around security in the city will be addressed by police officers invited to the meeting. Just like last year, it will be divided into two parts - one in English and the other in Polish (for foreign students studying in Polish). 240 students will start their studies in the winter semester under the Erasmus+ programme. The largest group are students from Spain, followed by Turkey, France, Portugal, Italy, and Germany.

As for the Student Exchange programme in the winter semester, we will host 50 people at WUST. The largest groups of students come from China, Brazil, and Kazakhstan. As far as full-cycle studies are concerned, 300 foreign people have been admitted to the degree programmes this year. The largest groups are students from Ukraine, Indians, Belarusians, Turks, Nigerians, as well as students from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

In addition, 40 people from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Vietnam will take part in one year's Polish language course. The orientation days start at 9.00 am in building D-20 (room 10 ACD).
