The Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology has received the title of Honorary Professor of Budapest’s Óbuda University. The event was held during the inauguration of the new academic year
Monday’s ceremonial beginning of the academic year 2018/2019 at the Hungarian tertiary institution was as usual combined with a ceremony of conferring the title of Honorary Professor to distinguished scientists. This year, the group of awarded academics comprised Professor Cezary Madryas, Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Pasquale Palumbo (Istituto di Analisi dei Sistemi ed Informatica „Antonio Ruberti”), and Edward Tunstel (United Technologies Research Center).
Next, the three scholars took part in a traditional mini-symposium entitled “Recent Advances in Intelligent Engineering”, where Professor Cezary Madryas delivered the lecture “Multi-Utility Tunnels”.
Óbuda University (Óbudai Egyetem) is one of Hungary’s biggest technical universities, currently providing education to almost 13 thousand students. In 2011, the title of Honorary Professor was also conferred to Professor Tadeusz Więckowski, Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the years 2008-2016.
