Grant from the Foundation for Polish Science goes to a researcher from the Faculty of Chemistry

The Foundation for Polish Science has adjudicated a competition being part of the TEAM programme, oriented towards subsidising groundbreaking research projects. Among the winners is Professor Marcin Drąg from the University’s Faculty of Chemistry, who’s going to be granted almost 3.5 million PLN for his research work

The funds to be granted will make it possible to finance 50 workplaces for researchers working on the projects and over 50 scholarships for young researchers (second and third cycle students) involved in research.

Professor Marcin Drąg has received almost 3.5 million PLN for the research programme named “Challenges in the design of selective markers for proteolytic enzyme imaging”. it isn’t the first award received by our researcher. Previously, Professor Drąg had won the STAR and FOCUS programmes for Polish Science as well as the competitions Harmonia and Opus organised by the National Centre for Science.

Professor Marcin Drąg has worked at the Faculty of Chemistry of Wrocław University of Science and Technology since 1999. In the years 2005-2008, he was on a placement in the team of Professor G. S. Salvesen at The Burnham Institute for Medical Research (California, USA).
