More than 50 people from 23 countries attended a ceremony to present congratulatory letters to graduates of Wrocław University of Science and Technology from abroad. It was the first such event in the history of our university.

- I very much hope that your studies at Wroclaw Tech have been a wonderful time for you and that you will have fond memories of your stay at our university and in Wrocław," said Professor Arkadiusz Wójs, Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. - We have offered you excellent study programmes, well-equipped laboratories and excellent lecturers, as well as a great community, which largely determines how the university is perceived. You have also made a big impact on us during your stay here, for which I would like to thank you very much." - he added.

The ceremony, organised by the International Relations Office, was attended by 28 engineering graduates and 24 master's degree holders. They are graduates of the 2022/23 and 23/24 academic year from nine faculties of our university, who came to Poland from, among others, Ethiopia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Ecuador, Vietnam or Ukraine. They all received congratulatory letters and commemorative badges. In total, nearly 400 foreigners graduated from Wrocław Tech during this period.

- Gaining knowledge is just as important as personal development. I know this very well, because I myself spent many years abroad. It was a very important time for me and, on my return to Wroclaw, I wanted to translate those good experiences to some extent into the University. I hope that when you return to your home countries, you too will remember the good things you experienced while studying here". - emphasised Professor Arkadiusz Wójs..

There are currently more than 1,200 foreign students studying at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. This semester, as many as 375 students from dozens of countries around the world started their studies - 180 on full-time studies and another 195 under student exchange programmes.

We asked two of our graduates about their impressions of their stay at Wroclaw Tech.

Anyone who decides to come to Wroclaw should see the city market square, the zoo, the Centennial Hall or Hydropolis.

Among the dishes that I particularly enjoyed in Poland were bigos and pierogi. I also really liked the way Poles celebrate Christmas. It's a family holiday during which as many as 12 different dishes are prepared. A wonderful tradition!

Poland is a very interesting country to study in. The people are very nice and the academic environment is amazing. There are a lot of foreign students at the Wroclaw Tech, and this allows you to get to know other cultures and completely soak up the learning atmosphere.

I encourage everyone to see for themselves what it is like to study here.

When I came to Poland, I wondered what kind of people I would meet here, the weather, the nature and the country in general.

After a few years, I have to say that the people are very warm and friendly. Even the weather is fine, except maybe in December and January when the temperatures drop below zero.

I highly recommend coming here and studying at the Wrocław Tech, which I have just completed from today.
