– In many respects, it was one of the most difficult investments that have been completed so far at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Its value amounts to over 100 million PLN, of which as much as 72 million PLN was spent on specialist instrumentation. Due to the short deadlines, the construction of the centre seemed to be an almost impossible feat, but it turned out successful thanks to the cooperation of many teams. This is a joint success of the city, the region, and our university, and thus also the academic community in Wrocław - said Professor Cezary Madryas, Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

The three-storey building houses more than 100 different rooms. Apart from laboratories, there is also a conference room as well as administration and storage facilities. This infrastructure will be used by scientists from five faculties of Wrocław University of Science and Technology:  Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Electronics, Geoengineering, Mining and Geology, and Mechanical Engineering. The building is also fully adapted to the needs of disabled people.

The construction and equipping of the facility was carried out as part of the project "Complex GEO-3EM - ENERGY ECOLOGY EDUCATION", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodship for 2014-2020.
