This year's edition is attended by 109 students, which is a record number. The participants came from such countries as India, China, Taiwan, Mexico, France, Belgium, Ukraine, Algeria, Slovenia, Russia, Spain, and the Netherlands.

Foreign students will attend courses at nine faculties: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Fundamental Problems of Technology, Microsystem Electronics and Photonics, and Mathematics. 3E+ started on July 1 and will last until July 26.

The TECHSummer school started on July 8 and will end on August 14. It is attended by 16 students from our partner universities in India. Courses were prepared for them at the Faculty of Civil Engineering as well as at the Faculty of Electronics.

On July 15, a group of 77 people from the Guilin University of Technology in China will start their summer school. Students will take part in classes at the faculties of Architecture and Civil Engineering, as well as in English courses organised by WUST’s Department of Foreign Languages.

- Students from abroad have the opportunity to get to know our university, city, and region. During their free time, they take part in sightseeing tours, e.g. to Książ Castle or to Błędne Skały. Their team spirit will develop during various joint events, such as rafting in Bardo - says Karolina Farbiszewska, head of the International Events Section at WUST.

The foreign guests are accommodated at the halls of residence of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

The Summer School of Architecture, which is an international workshop organised by WUST’s Faculty of Architecture and the Technical University of Delft, has a slightly different character. This is the fourth edition of the school for architecture students.

This year, the participants (almost 50 people) will make prototypes of their own pop-up installations using eco-friendly building materials. - The phenomenon of pop-ups is a response to sudden occasions or events that create space for temporary use. They appear suddenly, bringing new value to wherever they’re located - explain the organisers of the school.

The classes started on July 10 and will last almost two weeks, during which time the students will follow the full path of design, from the idea to its execution. The result of their work - in the shape of a 1:1 prototype - will be displayed on July 22. Learn more about Summer School of Architecture on its Facebook profile.
