Professor Piotr Dudziński along with Gustaw Sierzputowski and Adam Konieczny from the Department of Machines and Industrial Vehicles Engineering of Wrocław University of Science and technology have won a gold medal at the innovation fair in Brussels. They received the award for innovative solutions applied by them in a mobile land platform they developed - a versatile new generation vehicle featuring adaptive performance characteristics

The invention can be used in industries such as mining, agriculture, construction, but also for special purposes, e.g. military or fire fighting. The company KGHM ZANAM, one of Poland's biggest manufacturers of machinery and devices for the mining industry, has already expressed interest in the project. The platform has an enormous research potential, as it enables simulation, in any operational conditions, of practically all chassis applied in contemporary wheeled off-road vehicles.

The vehicle was designed and produced at the Department of Machines and Industrial Vehicles Engineering of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The platform is an element of Gustaw Sierzputowski's PhD thesis, written under the supervision of Professor Dudziński. The scientist was awarded a Diamond Grant by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

For Professor Piotr Dudziński, it has been already the eighth medal (7 gold and 1 silver) received at the innovation fairs in Brussels and Geneva.
