The 2nd International Conference on the Social Context of Science invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to explore the critical intersection of science, society, and technology. This year's conference (12-13 May) focuses on "Interdisciplinarity and Technology Assessment," fostering dialogue and collaboration on addressing complex global challenges and shaping a responsible and sustainable future.

The conference will feature three main tracks:
- Foundations of Interdisciplinarity Explore theoretical and practical dimensions of interdisciplinary research, focusing on its epistemological foundations, methodological approaches, and the role of philosophy and ethics in fostering collaboration across disciplines.
- Technology Assessment in Action Showcase diverse methods and applications of Technology Assessment (TA) in domains such as healthcare, environment, and emerging technologies. Learn from case studies, real-world labs, and advanced methods like agent-based modeling.
- Science, Society, and the Future Delve into the broader implications of interdisciplinary research and TA for addressing societal challenges, promoting responsible innovation, and shaping the future of science and technology in a rapidly changing world.
International Staff Week and Erasmus+ Mobility This conference is part of the international staff week from May 12-16, 2025, under the Erasmus+ program.
