Are you finishing your Master's degree and looking for an idea for your future? Or maybe you are already a graduate and are working, but want to develop your scientific career? If so, we would like to invite you to the Wrocław Tech PhD School Open Day.
On Tuesday, 19 April, you will learn what the recruitment rules are, what an interview looks like and what a typical day of a PhD student looks like. You will also be able to meet the dean, vice deans and talk to PhD students who will share their experiences. The whole event can be watched online via YouTube.
- During the open day, we will tell you what doctoral studies are about at the Doctoral School, how to prepare for the recruitment process, how to find a supervisor and what the implementation of the doctoral programme, which is an alternative way of obtaining a doctoral degree, looks like - says Prof. Krzysztof Walkowiak, Dean of the Doctoral School.
The meeting in English, aimed at candidates from abroad, will start at 5 p.m. Apart from the authorities of the Doctoral School, it will be possible to talk to Arif Eftekhar Ahmed, a third-year doctoral student in the discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Power Engineering. At our university he completed his second degree in Environmental Quality Management at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, and is currently working on techniques for treating wastewater from various pollutants.
The meeting in Polish will start at 15.00 on the same day.
There are currently 489 PhD students in our Doctoral School, including 48 foreigners and 99 implementation PhD students.
