Creative Vratislavians at Wrocław University of Science and Technology

It is the fourth time already that the online portal wroclaw.pl has announced the ranking of 30 creative Vratislavians - people who have become internationally successful thanks to their talents and passions. The laureates include researchers, graduates, and students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology

The list of winners was based on the names put forward by the readers of the city news website. Awards were granted for a few categories: society/city, culture/art/design, science, and business.

This year's ranking once again includes people whose activity is related to Wrocław University of Science and Technology. These are:

Professor Marcin Drąg – a researcher from the Division of Bioorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry, specialising in biological and medical chemistry.

The Academic Aviation Club of WUST - a group of 40 students from Wrocław University of Science and Technology who for years has been winning medals and other awards at prestigious competitions for aviation constructors held in countries including the USA and Australia.

BUCK.STUDIO – an architecture studio founded by Dominika Buck, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and WUST lecturer Paweł Buck, PhD, Eng, Arch, who specialise in creating public spaces.

Additionally, the group of winners included Adam Stankiewicz - a graduate of Wrocław University of Science and Technology who, together with Kamil Nicieja and Natalia Świrska, established the startup named Ada. The young entrepreneurs created a chatbot which uses artificial intelligence to help users rent a flat.

The ceremonial gala at which all the winners will receive their awards and certificates of merit will be held on September 13 at the Nowe Horyzonty Cinema. The event will also be attended by the winners of three previous editions of the competition.
