In connection with the tragic events at the University of Warsaw, the authorities of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology have decided to take additional measures to guarantee greater security for all those working and studying at our university.

The university should be a place for gaining knowledge and experience and exchanging views, and at the same time a space where everyone feels safe. Therefore, let's react and take care of our safety.
Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs, rector

The number of mobile devices at the gatehouses of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology for reporting threats will be increased. They are equipped with a special button that, when pressed, transmits the person's whereabouts and the device's contact number to the Main Surveillance Center, allowing the employee to be quickly located and a guard to be immediately dispatched to the site.

The installation of beepers is planned at the gatehouses - employees at each facility will be trained in procedures for dealing with moments of danger.

A decision has been made to increase patrols of the University's guards, and employees responsible for monitoring the university have been required to increase vigilance.

In the near future, the gatekeeping staff will receive additional training on how to properly deal with health and life threats. In addition, special psychological assistance will be provided to those working in the Facilities Management Department.

Let's remember that emergency numbers for the police, fire department and ambulance service are available at each gatehouse.

We have trained psychologists at the university. Employees can make appointments with them through the Psychological Support and Mediation Department app, and students and PhD students through the Accessibility Department app.
