On Monday morning, they started their winter school course entitled "Pharmaceutical Analysis and Medical Chemistry" carried out at WUST’s Faculty of Chemistry in cooperation with the Department of International Affairs.

- You’re going to have both theoretical instruction and a lot of practice. We’ve made sure that the school programme is comprehensive and diverse - emphasised University professor Piotr Rutkowski, PhD, Dsc, Eng, Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Chemistry.

The guests from India were also welcomed by Professor Andrzej Trochimczuk, Vice-Rector for Science of Wrocław University of Science and Technology: - We hope that during this month, you will see that Poland is a friendly country, with a rich culture and wonderful places. You will also have an opportunity to see what studying at Wrocław University of Science and Technology looks like, and who knows, maybe some of you will decide to join us in the future. We’re happy to see you here! The entire campus of our university is at your disposal. Feel free to use the library and all amenities for students.

Eight students will start classes at the Faculty of Chemistry under the supervision of Assistant Professor Makhduma Saiyed. On the part of the faculty, the group is supervised by Professor Roman Gancarz. The participants of the winter school will visit facilities including the laboratories in the GEO-3EM building and the interiors of the Wrocław Technology Park. They will also take a tour of Wrocław and trips to Książ Castle, Szczawno-Zdrój, and Kraków. In addition, they will have an opportunity to put their cross-country skiing skills to the test in Jakuszyce.

- I’m taking part in the winter school because I the course appealed to me, but an important factor was also the visit to Poland itself - admitted Koustene Dutla Chawdhry, one of the students from Parul University. He tried his best to prepare for his trip to our country - in recent weeks, he has been learning Polish phrases and now he can pronounce them with a great accent. - I’m a very sociable person and I like to get to know other places and their culture. I think I got it from my dad, who has visited almost the whole world because he’s a crew member on a ship. I also know a lot about Poland from him. I'm very interested in your country as well as the people who live here. I want to get to know you as well as I can. I will certainly spend a lot of time talking to people and trying to feel the atmosphere of Poland.
