The Charity Ball of Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be held on the last Saturday of the carnival. All proceeds from the event will go to the grant fund for the disabled students
Among the guests are representatives of the science, business and sports milieus. As usual, a charity auction will be organised at the ball, where the attendees will be able to bid for many valuable items, including a t-shirt with Robert Lewandowski's autograph.
Also to be auctioned are a bottle of Barolo wine of 1937 (funded by Derek Lenartowicz, President of Balamara Resources Limited), a fountain pen donated by the Prime Minister, a dictionary of the Polish language with a special dedication of the author, Professor Jan Miodek, an album funded by Wrocław President Rafał Dutkiewicz, works by the students of the Faculty of Architecture, as well as drawings and paintings funded by the rectors of Wrocław's universities.
Thanks to the funds to be collected at the ball, the Foundation for the Development of Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be able to support our most talented disabled students. So far, over 600 thousand PLN has been raised - an amount that has been funnelled into 434 student grants.
