Marek Wroński, PhD, DSc, has been tracking down pathologies in science for many years, sharing his observations in sources including the "Academic Forum” magazine
On Thursday, May 23, he delivered a lecture at Wrocław University of Science and Technology entitled "Scientific Unreliability at Technical Universities”.
Marek Wroński, PhD, DSc, is a doctor of medicine, an anaesthesiologist, holding the position of professor at the Medical Faculty of the State University of Applied Sciences in Kalisz. From 1989 to 2007, he worked as a researcher in New York, where he examined the results of treatment of brain tumours (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Staten Island University Hospital, New York City) and studied the impact of anaesthetic drugs on the results of cardiac surgery (University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark). Dr Wroński has authored over 70 clinical papers (Science Citation Index>1200, Hirsch Index=19).
For many years, he has been tracking pathologies in science. Since 2002 he has been a journalist and feature writer for the monthly magazine "Academic Forum”, where he runs the monthly series entitled "From the Archive of Scientific Dishonesty”, focusing on various violations of scientific integrity and ethics in the country.
