The University’s four diamonds

Four students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology have won the 8th edition of the ministerial programme named "Diamond Grant". The winners will receive a scholarship in the amount of up to 220 thousand PLN for the execution of their first scientific research projects.

This year, 85 people from 33 universities, including four students of our university, have become winners of the ministerial programme  This is the third best result in the program, with more winners coming only from the University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, and Adam  Mickiewicz University in Poznań).

The following students of our university were recognised under the programme:

in the field of technical sciences -

  • Michał Kłak (Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology),
  • Dorota Tomaszewska (Faculty of Electronics).

in the field of social sciences - 

  • Bartosz Uniejewski (Faculty of Computer Science and Management),
  • Grzegorz Marcjasz (Faculty of Computer Science and Management).

“Diamond Grant" is a program existing since 2012, which annually supports up to 100 most talented students or graduates of first cycle degree programmes in Poland. It assists them in their growth as researchers and gives them the opportunity to carry out their own research projects. In this year's edition of the competition, 85 best students representing six areas of science - the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, medicine, strict sciences, and technology - were awarded. In total, they obtained over 17 million PLN to conduct their research.
