The annual Awards of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for the best scientists have been awarded, with one of the winners being Professor Rafał Weron from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management, whose outstanding scientific achievements were acknowledged

He received his award during the ceremonial awards event held on December 8 at POLIN - the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Professor Rafał Weron's areas of specialisation include risk management, computer simulations, forecasting in the heavy current engineering market and application of computation statistics tools in issues related to finance and insurance.
