Bartosz Uniejewski wrote his doctoral thesis entitled "Forecasting wholesale electricity prices to support decision-making in power companies: Use of regularization and forecast combinations" under the supervision of Prof. Rafał Weron and Katarzyna Maciejowska, PhD, assistant supervisor (both from the Faculty of Management).

The reviewers of the thesis were Prof. Bogumił Kamiński (Warsaw School of Economics), Sławomir Śmiech, PhD (Cracow University of Economics), and Prof. James Taylor (Saïd Business School, University of Oxford). The positive decision of the doctoral committee was unanimous, and the thesis of the Doctoral School’s graduate received a distinction. Formally, the doctoral degree will be conferred next Tuesday, during a meeting of the Science Discipline Council for Management and Quality Science.

Operating at Wrocław University of Science and Technology since 2019, the Doctoral School currently has 582 students. Over a hundred of these young researchers are pursuing implementation doctorates, which are extremely important economy-wise. For more information, please visit the website of the Doctoral School.
