The 4th Symposium on  Biotransformations for Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industry will be held in Trzebnica at 25 – 27 June, 2018. This is the next edition of the international meeting, which idea originated from grant realized in consortium and which always takes place in Poland

The importance of the conference has been confirmed (previously and also this time) by the participation of the invited Special Guests (prof. Nicholas Turner from The University of Manchester, prof. Vladimir Kren from Academy of Sciences of Czech Republic and prof. Laurence Hecquet from University of Clermont Auvergne) who are recognized as experts among the scientist, whose fields of interests include the borderline between chemistry and biology.

Symposium is subjected to the area of biotechnology, in which mentioned disciplines penetrate each other via the application of biological systems or their mimetics for the synthesis or modifications of chemical building blocks (e.g. chiral synthetic platforms) predicted for further applying: as drugs or drugs precursors; as food or feed additives; as fine chemicals or others.

Although there are hundreds of biotransformations known, only selected few of them are useful for the synthesis of commercially important products.

Therefore, the exchange of ideas and recent achievement of this field is strongly required. This scientific meeting will be a free of charge, what  would, especially, to encourage young researchers to attend the Symposium and to present their own research.
