QS World University Ranking 2026: Wrocław Tech is on the rise!

Wrocław University of Science and Technology goes up in the prestigious World University Ranking (WUR)! In the annual ranking made by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), we have moved to positions 851-900 globally. We also ranked eighth among Polish universities included in the classification and fourth among domestic technical universities.

The 22nd edition of the ranking included 1,501 universities, including 20 tertiary institutions from Poland. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology won, ahead of Imperial College London and Stanford University.

The highest-ranked Polish universities were the University of Warsaw (271st place) and the Jagiellonian University (303rd place). Wrocław University of Science and Technology, together with the University of Gdańsk, ranked 851-900, which is an improvement on last year’s result (901-950).

QS World University Ranking, an annual source of university rankings published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), includes global general and subject-specific rankings that list the best universities in the world for 48 different fields of study, as well as five independent regional rankings (Asia, Latin America, Emerging Europe and Central Asia, the Arab Region, and BRICS).

The universities it covers are assessed according to the following five areas:

1. Research and Discovery (50%), including:

Academic Reputation (30%) Citations per Faculty (20%)

2. Employability and Outcomes (20%), including:

Employer Reputation (15%), Employment Outcomes (5%)

3. Global Engagement (15%), including:

International Faculty Ratio (5%), International Research Network (5%) International Student Diversity (0%), International Student Ratio (5%)

4. Learning Experience (10%), including:

Faculty Student Ratio (10%)

5. Sustainability (5%) 

Our university performed best in terms of International Faculty Ratio (429th place) and Employer Reputation (461st place worldwide and 4th place in Poland), as well as the IRN index (563rd place).
