Wrocław University of Science and Technology has become a winner at the regional stage of the “Lodołamacze 2017” competition. Our University won the category “Institution” as well as becoming awarded with the honorary title of “Super Lodołamacz” (Eng. “Super Ice-Breaker”)

It is the fifth time already that Wrocław University of Science and Technology has become one of the winners of the competition. In the years 2012 and 22015, our University received the silver medal, while four years before it topped the category “Non-entrepreneurial Employer” when Jerzy Borowiec was granted the honorary title of “Lodołamacz Specjalny” (“Special Ice-breaker”). Last year, WUST won the bronze medal for “Institution”, while this year it ranked highest in the category at the same time winning the honorary title of “Super Lodołamacz”.

- We’re very happy and thankful for this award. We all want to create proper conditions for the education of young people, and you also - with your activity - help us attain our tasks - added Jacek Lamperski PhD, Pro-Rector for Student Affairs.

Currently, over 500 disabled students plus more than twenty doctoral students are pursuing their courses at WUST (the largest number at the Faculty of Electronics). Moreover, the University is carrying out a number of projects whose purpose is to assist disabled students to obtain access to knowledge.
