Finally, we know the results of the KOKOS Student Construction Competition, organised by the Independent Students' Association. As usual, WUST representatives did well, winning in two categories

kokos_lem2.jpgThe prize once again went to the constructors from the Scientific Circle of Vehicles and Mobile Robots. This time, they turned out to be the best in the Ecology category for their LEM Thunder, the Light Electric Motorcycle project.

The vehicle is Poland’s first light electric motorcycle adjusted to races in difficult terrain such as the Dakar Rally.

The second of the awarded projects is the rover Scorpio X, built by the students from the Off-Road Scientific Circle. This year, it took first place in the Smart Robots category.

Scorpio X is the sixth rover created by the members of the circle. The construction is modular and mainly made of aerospace aluminium and polyamide - lightweight materials known for their excellent mechanical properties.

Since 2014, the KOKOS Student Construction Competition has been organised by the Independent Students' Association at the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow. The organisation selects the best designers from among Polish students under 26 years of age, who can see at the finale gala that their ideas can conquer the world. This, in turn, could encourage them to patent their projects and think about putting them to business use.
