1st International conference "Parul University International Conference on Engineering & Technology: Smart Engineering"

The PiCET-2018 has an objective of creating an international forum for academicians, researchers and scientists across the globe to discuss contemporary research status and advanced techniques to address the challenges related to “Smart Engineering”. The conference has major tracks on Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science Engineering. PiCET-2018 will include keynote lectures from renowned speakers, original research paper, poster presentations and technical deliberations related to the topics pertaining to “Smart Engineering”. A cultural event showcasing the performances of renowned artists is also planned in the evening during PiCET-2018. This conference will provide a platform for young student/researcher to interact with subject experts in their area of interest. PiCET-2018 will also have a space for industries and institutions to showcase their products, services, innovations and research results.

About Faculty of Engineering & Technology

Functioning under the aegis of Parul University is Faculty of Engineering and Technology, which comprises of two leading institutes, Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET) and Parul Institute of Technology (PIT). Both PIET and PIT are AICTE approved colleges which offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and Doctoral courses in Engineering and Management. The PIET was established in the year 2003, and PIT in the year 2010. Both of the institutes possess state-of-art infrastructure, with highly equipped laboratories, library and eminent faculties.

Recent advancements in technology has spread its wings in all the directions and is not limited to the people having technical background; Electronic gadgets (i.e., Smart Phones, Fablets, Watches, Wearable bands, Biometrics, TV, digital-appliances Key-chains and IOT etc.) are now accessible by most of the population of this Globe. This became possible because of the invention of smart electronic devices. These devices are generally connected to other devices using different wireless protocols (i.e., Wi-Fi, 3G/4G/5G, Li-Fi); to some extent these devices can operate interactively and autonomously. Most of the electronic appliances are equipped with touch control panels (replaced Buttons & dials) have given ease of accessibility to the unskilled operator. The organic light-emitting diode (OLED) permitted invention of ultra high definition screens with vibrant colors and low power consumption. The smart wearable electronic devices have provided easy access to monitor the health of people, environment and even health monitoring of a structure.
